Egypt proposes two-day ceasefire and limited prisoner swap

Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi confirmed on Sunday a proposal presented in Doha that involves a two-day ceasefire in Gaza and the release of four Israeli captives in exchange for an unspecified number of Palestinian prisoners. 

Spy chiefs from the US, Israel, and Egypt are meeting with Qatari officials in Doha in a bid to renew attempts at a temporary truce. 

Asharq News is also reporting that Hamas is submitting its own comprehensive plan to mediators that would outline the steps toward an immediate ceasefire and end to the war.
