Israel says killed senior Qassam commander during Gaza op

The Israeli army said it has killed a senior commander of the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, during its now paused military offensive on the Gaza Strip, reports Anadolu Agency.

 

In a statement quoted by Israel Radio, the army said it had targeted Farag Abu Rabie in an airstrike for his leading role in building tunnels.

 

The army had not given details about the timing or location of the airstrike.
