The BBC is reporting that the British parliament may be recalled on Friday to discuss the UK's potential involvement in airstrikes against the militant Islamic State (IS) group in Syria.
No official confirmation has been given but an announcement may follow in the coming hours the BBC says.
The Labour Party conference is currently underway which may be why the recall has not been made sooner.
There is also some suggestion that the Iraqi Prime Minister may make a formal request to the UK to join in the airstrikes with the rest of the US led anti-IS coalition. This request may also come later on Wednesday.
