The world’s largest annual pilgrimage is set to take place this week as millions of Muslims from across the world head to Mecca.

The annual pilgrimage, known as the ‘Hajj’, is a religious obligation for all Muslims, wealth and health permitting.

This year, safety and security precautions are top of the agenda following the tragic deaths of at least 2236 pilgrims in a crowd collapse last year.
