Peter Jenkins is a former British ambassador to the international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). His 33-year diplomatic career took him to Vienna, Washington, Paris, Brasilia and Geneva. In 2001 he became Ambassador to the IAEA and UN in Vienna, where he had first served in the 1970’s. From 2010 to 2012 he was an associate fellow of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Since 2010 he has been a partner member of the Ambassador Partnership llp. He is currently chairman of the British Pugwash group.
