Australia calls on citizens to leave Israel as tensions escalate

Australia has advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Israel and urged those already there to leave while commercial flights are still operational, Reuters reported.

The warning follows Israel's ongoing wars on Gaza and Lebanon.

"The Australian government has serious concerns the security situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories could deteriorate rapidly," Foreign Minister Penny Wong stated in a post on X late Monday.
