The death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has increased to 29,410 since 7 October the Palestinian health ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
At least 69,465 people have been wounded.
Since 7 October, at least 702 children have been among the 4,528 Palestinian people injured across the occupied West Bank, occupied East Jerusalem, and in Israel said the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).
In other developments:
- Yemen's Houthis say that they will ban all American and British-owned ships from passing through the Red Sea.
- Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for restrictions on the freedom of movement of Palestinians after a shooting that killed an Israeli at a checkpoint near Jerusalem.
- There has been a more than threefold increase in anti-Muslim hate cases in the UK since 7 October.
- Shortly after pulling out, Israeli forces conducted a raid on the Nasser Medical Complex again, according to a statement from the health ministry of the Palestinian enclave on Thursday.
- White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said that Brett McGurk, the US envoy for the Middle East, conducted "constructive" discussions in Egypt and Israel.
