Hezbollah-Israel conflict not inevitable: US defence secretary

US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin does not believe a conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is inevitable, and expressed a preference for a diplomatic resolution.
Austin shared these views during a joint press conference in Manila, Philippines, after security discussions with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and their Philippine counterparts, Gilberto Teodoro and Enrique Manalo.
