Israel killed nearly 17,000 children in Gaza in one year, says rights group

According to Defense for Children International-Palestine, Israeli forces have killed nearly 17,000 children in Gaza since 7 October of 2023.

The rights group stated, "Israeli policies, nonstop bombardment, and the ongoing ground invasion have forcibly displaced children and their families from their homes, forced schools to close, starved children, detained and tortured them in military camps, and left thousands disabled, with many suffering life-long injuries."
