Israeli foreign minister says 'Iranian proxies attempted to assassinate' Netanyahu

Israel's foreign minister has blamed Iran and it's allies for a drone attack on the home of the Israeli prime minister.

"The Iranian proxies who attempted to assassinate Prime Minister Netanyahu and his family today have once again exposed Iran's true face and the evil axis it leads," Israel Katz wrote on X.

"I fully support the Prime Minister's statement and emphasize: Israel will continue to strike terrorists and their sponsors with strength and determination, wherever and whenever necessary, until we achieve all our goals. Israel's enemies will pay a heavy price for any attempt to harm our citizens, soldiers and leaders."

A drone launched from Lebanon flew 70km to strike Netanyahu's house in Caesarea, northern Israel.

Netanyahu and his family were not there, and there were no reports of casualties.
