Israeli soldiers 'open fire at UN aid convoy'

Israeli soldiers fired at a UN aid convoy in the Gaza Strip, director of the Unrwa affairs in the besieged strip said on Friday.

In a post published on social media platform X, Thomas White said no one was injured in the incident but a vehicle sustained damage.

"Israeli soldiers fired at an aid convoy as it returned from Northern Gaza along a route designated by the Israeli Army," White said.

"Our international convoy leader and his team were not injured but one vehicle sustained damage.

"Aid workers should never be a target."

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army.
