Scholz and Qatari emir discuss Gaza ceasefire and two-state solution

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, emphasised the need for a two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during their meeting in Germany yesterday, Reuters reported.

According to a government spokesperson, they also called for increased diplomatic efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
