Ibn Auf sworn in as head of Military Transitional Council

Sudanese Defence Minister Awad Ahmad Ibn Auf was sworn in late on Thursday as the head of the Military Transitional Council, several media outlets reported, citing Sudanese state TV.
Kamal Abdul-Marouf Al-Mahi, a former senior official under now-former President Omar al-Bashir, was also sworn in as Auf's deputy.
