Lawmakers vote on bill to call up 1,400 Border Guard reservists

The Israeli Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee is holding an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss a proposal to call up 1,400 reservists in the Border Guard police.

If the bill is passed it will mean that the Israeli armed forces are authorised to call up reservists, who are trained but not on active duty.
