LIVE BLOG: The Third Intifada - the uprising spreads
MEE brings you the latest from across Israel and Palestine
Violence across Israel, the West Bank and Gaza is on the rise today, with several separate incidents already taking place.

The escalation comes after a deadly day in Gaza in which seven people were killed Friday and 60 others wounded by Israeli soldiers positioned at the security fence.

With tensions at fever pitch, many now believe we are seeing the start of a Third Intifada.

Palestinians remain divided about whether the ongoing tensions and violence amount to a new Intifada.

A Palestinian taxi driver from the West Bank told an MEE contributor this morning that:

"This is not a Third Intifada, it's the war of freedom. It's been 67 years we don't want another Intifada."

But a 21-year-old Palestinian from Bethlehem disagreed:

"We are fighting the Third Intifada, there is no question about that now."
