According to Defense for Children International-Palestine, Israeli forces have killed nearly 17,000 children in Gaza since 7 October of 2023.
The rights group stated, "Israeli policies, nonstop bombardment, and the ongoing ground invasion have forcibly displaced children and their families from their homes, forced schools to close, starved children, detained and tortured them in military camps, and left thousands disabled, with many suffering life-long injuries."
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday answered "no" when asked by MP Zarah Sultana to "do what is morally and legally right and end the government's complicity in war crimes by banning all arms sales to Israel".
During Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons, Sultana said: "In the light of the anniversary of the horrific October 7 attacks, I again repeat the call for the immediate release of all hostages."
She then addressed a question to Starmer.
"And in light of Israel's genocidal assault in Gaza, the violence in the West Bank and the invasion of Lebanon, I ask the prime minister if he believes that Israel's right to self-defence justifies a death toll, according to research by US medical professionals who have worked in Gaza, [that] has now surpassed 118,000, as well as the 2,000 people killed in Lebanon.
"And will he do what is morally and legally right and end the government's complicity in war crimes by banning all arms sales to Israel, including F-35 fighter jets, not just 30 licences? Yes or no?"

The Israeli military has issued forced expulsion orders for about one-quarter of Lebanon’s southern coastline, from the mouth of the Awali River to the Israeli-Lebanese border, ahead of an upcoming maritime attack.
The Israeli army ordered vacationers, residents, and local fishermen to avoid the sea and the beaches in the area.
"Being on the beach and boat movements in the area of the Awali River line southward pose a danger to your life," the warning stated.
The Awali River flows into the Mediterranean Sea just north of Sidon (Saida) and the Litani River.

Hezbollah has accused the Israeli military of using UN peacekeepers as human shields during operations near a Unifil base in the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras.
In a statement from one of its field offices, the group claimed that Israel has been engaging in "unusual activities" in the area.
According to Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen news channel, the field office commander said Hezbollah fighters were instructed not to engage Israeli forces to ensure the safety of the UN peacekeepers.
"The Israeli enemy is trying to take UNIFIL forces as human shields to cover up its failure to advance towards the village, especially after repeated failed attempts from several fronts," the statement read.
It’s been 365 days since war began in Gaza and spread to the wider region.
On 7 October 2023, Hamas-led Palestinian fighters launched a surprise attack on southern Israel, killing around 1,200 Israelis and taking 250 others captive to Gaza.
Israel responded with a brutal war on the enclave, via air and land, killing over 40,000 Palestinians - the majority of whom are women and children. Millions have been displaced, denied access to food, water and resources, and with nowhere safe to turn to.
In parallel to the war in Gaza, Israeli forces and Hezbollah have exchanged fire along the Israel-Lebanon border since 8 October 2023.
That front of the conflict escalated last month, after Israel launched a string of brutal attacks on Lebanon. More than 2,000 Lebanese have been killed by Israeli forces over the past year, most in the past three weeks.

Former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump expressed on a conservative radio show that Israel has the right to launch an attack on Iran.
"The good thing is that they're entitled to do so, and no one would be upset if they did, especially after Iran launched 187 missiles at them. And by the way, how effective is the shield? The United States should have a shield too," Trump said.
The spokesperson for Hamas's military wing, the Qassam Brigades, announced the group has decided to "continue a long and painful war of attrition" against Israel.

Conservative Party leadership contender Robert Jenrick has called for the UK to ban "extremist groups" like Friends of Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian Forum in Britain.
Jenrick is one of four candidates trying to win leadership of a party that was thoroughly defeated in the UK general election in July.
All of those standing to lead the Tories are ardent Zionists who back Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza, over which Israel is facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice.
"We urgently need to amend our laws to combat the scale of extremism on our streets," Jenrick, the former immigration minister, wrote in a column for the Daily Mail on Monday.
"We can no longer wait to proscribe the IRGC. So we must capture the extremist groups, not involved in terrorism - like Friends of Al Aqsa or the Palestinian Forum in Britain - but that harm our communities and public order, by creating a new category for banning organisations."
