Calling all citizen journalists
MEE is calling all citizen journalists.
Are you based in the Middle East? Be our eyes on the ground!
Use your camera or camera phone to capture the latest events as they happen.
1) Research when an event is due to take place near you and let us know. Or if you are in the right place at the right time just shoot the video and send it to us.
2) Ask people in the field questions. What do they think? What’s happening? What does it mean for the region's future?
3) Use your phone or other means to record the video. Don’t worry about having the latest camera, a camera phone will do! But the recording must be clear enough so that we can understand exactly what the interviewee is saying (if there is an interview).
4) Email the recording and your contact info to [email protected]
5) If we use the video we will pay you for it. Email us and let us know you are interested and we will provide you with our payment guidelines.
6) We will post the video on our website and YouTube channel and report on it if it covers new ground.
Good luck!
