Egypt’s military released a video on Saturday purporting to show a bombing raid on Islamic State group linked militants in the country’s restive Sinai Peninsula.
The video, posted to Facebook, is titled “Revenge on rats of terror” and shows several figures running on the ground before a bomb obliterates the scene.
There is no commentary on the video and no information was published to the army’s Facebook page accompanying the post.
IS militants attacked Egyptian army posts in the North Sinai on Wednesday, reportedly killing at least 70 soldiers and 38 militants.
President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi has pledged to wipe out the militants and visited Sinai on Saturday wearing an army uniform to rally his troops.
