In Pictures: Algerians react to Abdelaziz Bouteflika's resignation
Hundreds of Algerians took to the streets of the capital after Abdelaziz Bouteflika's resignation, waving Algerian flags or driving in convoys through the city centre. (Reuters)

One person was confirmed to have died during the protests, which were, for the most part, peaceful. The man was a 60-year-old who suffered a heart attack during one of the rallies. (Reuters)
