Palestinian resistance: No ceasefire before cessation of Israeli attacks
A prominent member of the Palestinian resistance has confirmed that contact had been made with mediators "to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people".
In a statement to Arabi 21, the unnamed leader said that while contact had been made, the Palestinian resistance insisted the cessation of attacks in Jerusalem be included in the ceasefire agreement.
“This is the resistance’s only condition,” he said.
The leader also said that “Jerusalem is a red line” that could not be crossed.

Jordanian documents could prove Sheikh Jarrah rights
Residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in East Jerusalem have asked the government of Jordan to provide them with documents that prove their ownership of land and houses - which were registered with the Jordanian authorities before the Israeli occupation of the city in 1967 - to challenge Israeli claims of ownership.
The families told the Jordanian government through activists and local legal channels that the documents that have been provided to them so far were “insufficient" in their case before the Israeli judiciary, reported the London-based daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi.
A Jordanian human rights lawyer, Muhammad Abu Zinad, said that he had contacted many residents of Sheikh Jarrah.
He said the families of Sheikh Jarrah were appealing to Amman to present documents that reinforce their legal argument, noting that "the documents submitted by the Jordanian side are insufficient and do not prove their ownership of the lands and real estate in which they reside."
Egypt arrests doctor who volunteered in Gaza Strip
According to the London-based The New Arab newspaper, Egyptian armed forces have arrested Dr Hossam el-Din Shaaban, an orthopaedic surgeon and member of a medical team that volunteered to treat wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Egyptian forces accused Shaaban of "leaking military secrets" after he posted tweets in which he listed some of the details of his trip from Cairo to Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Shaaban was arrested a few hours after sending the tweets.
Around 1,200 Egyptian doctors have registered on the Egyptian Medical Syndicate (EMS) website to volunteer to treat the victims of Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Jordan represses pro-Palestine demonstrations
Jordanian authorities have opened an investigation into "the violations committed on Sunday during the dispersal of protesters who staged a sit-in near the Israeli embassy in the capital Amman", according to the Jordanian website Ammon News.
According to a statement issued by the Jordan Public Security Directorate, "circulated videos showed unacceptable transgressions and individual actions”.
The statement pledged to hold all wrongdoers to account and to protect freedom of expression, calling on all citizens to respect the law.
Activists in Jordan released videos purportedly showing violent tactics deployed by security forces during demonstrations in support of Jerusalem and Gaza, including attacks on women.
Jordan is witnessing a wave of pro-Palestinian protests.
