Video has emerged showing the aftermath of Friday afternoon's attack in Hebron, which left the alleged attacker dead and an Israeli soldier with "moderate to severe" injuries.
Eyewitnesses told Palestinian news agency Ma'an that the attacker, who was wearing a yellow press vest, was left bleeding on the ground after being shot, as medics treated the wounded soldier.
The footage was captured by Palestinian news site al-Quds, which has been linked to Hamas, leading to unconfirmed reports that the attacker was an employee of the station.
The Foreign Press Association has condemned the attack, calling it a "violation of press privilege".
