Brigitte Herremans is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Human Rights Centre of Ghent University. She examines the relation between arts and accountability in the Syrian and Palestinian contexts. From 2002 to 2018, she worked as a Middle East policy officer for the NGOs Broederlijk Delen and Pax Christi Flanders. From 2017 to 2019, she worked as a policy officer on the Middle East and North Africa at BOZAR, the centre of fine arts in Brussels.
