Hurcan Asli Aksoy is the deputy head of the Centre for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS) at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. She published on democratisation and the role of women's movements in Turkey and Turkey's foreign policy. Currently, Asli is working on Turkey's domestic politics and foreign policy in its immediate neighbourhood.
