Lara Bird-Leakey is a PhD Candidate at Kings College London War Studies Department on the subject of UK Government policy and IHL in the context of armed conflict and non-state actors. She holds an LL.M in Public International Law from the LSE and is currently working as a Senior Foreign Affairs and Defence Researcher in the House of Commons, alongside sitting on the Executive Committee of the Balfour Project.
