“We would see the dead bodies on the ground. They (Israeli soldiers) would move around the streets in their cars and shoot randomly. People walking would just drop dead.”
Eighty-six year old Ebtihaj Dola was forced to flee Jaffa with her family in 1948. She recounts the distressing events that led to her family eventually settling in al-Maghazi refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
