Over 15,000 sheep drown after livestock vessel sinks in Sudan

A livestock vessel exporting over 15,000 sheep from Sudan to Saudi Arabia sank after it was overloaded with several thousand more animals than it was able to carry.

The total value of the lost livestock is estimated to be $4m.
