Deserted for more than two months, Dahiyeh came back to life in the early hours of Wednesday following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Although the population was enthusiastic, the southern suburbs of Beirut have been left in ruins by heavy Israeli bombing.
