Sabrine Mohammad Hilewa is a 20 year old student in the Department of Biology at the University of al-Azhar in Gaza. She left her home in Shejaiya district following the massive Israeli bombardment during Operation Protective Edge and sought refuge with her family in a rented flat on Jalaa street in the north of Gaza. When her neighbour's house was bombed, she went to al-Shifa hospital and starting working as a volunteer nurse. The photos show a day in the life of a person who despite being a victim of bombardment and is displaced herself, chooses to help those in need.
