On Sunday, a PA security official opened live fire at Palestinian protesters in the Israeli-occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.

On Friday, PA security forces had attacked protestors with batons, following demonstrations criticising the Palestinian leadership for continuing to collaborate with Israeli forces, despite the latter's involvement in restrictions of worship in Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

Last week, Israeli forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque a number of times, clashing with worshipers, attacking them with rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades, causing dozens of injuries.
