Libya peace deal in turmoil just hours after it looked set to be signed

Unconfirmed reports have surfaced that the Tobruk-based House of Representatives has walked out of the UN-backed Morocco peace deal

The UN-backed Libya peace deal has been thrown into doubt, just hours after it appeared that the rival parliaments were ready to sign.

The rift between the rival Tobruk and Tripoli-based parliaments first emerged on Tuesday morning, after reports indicated that a disagreement had emerged over who would be appointed to the shared presidency.

Shortly after, as yet unconfirmed reports surfaced that the Tobruk House of Representatives had walked out of the Morocco peace deal signing conference due to the divisions.
