Live Stream of MEE Debate: Who created Jihadi John?
Middle East Eye is hosting a debate on Thursday night, with five participants asking 'Who Created Jihadi John?'
You can tune in to a live broadcast of the event from 19:00 BST on Thursday evening by clicking here.
The unmasking of the hooded Islamic State executioner Mohammed Emwazi nicknamed 'Jihadi John' by the British media has proved controversial in the UK where widespread debate is raging about the true causes of radicalisation.
Speakers include: Andrew Gilligan, Telegraph's London editor; Moazzam Begg, a campaigner who spent three years in Guantanamo Bay before being released without charge; Will Self, one of the UK’s most successful authors; Nesrine Malik, who writes on topics like multiculturalism for The Guardian; Heydon Prowse, a BAFTA-winning comedian; Rashad Ali, a former member the outlawed Hizb ut-Tahrir group and later co-founder of the self styled anti-extremist thinktank Quilliam. MEE editor David Hearst will be moderating the discussion.
You can put questions to the panel ahead of time using the hashtag #MEEDebate.
