Israeli killed, two Palestinians shot after West Bank supermarket attack
An Israeli was killed and a second wounded on Thursday afternoon after two Palestinians stabbed them in a West Bank supermarket, according to local reports.
The Palestinians, who are both reportedly 14-years-old according to Maan News Agency, were shot at the Rami Levi supermarket in the Shaare Benjamin industrial complex, by a civilian, police said.
Medics said the Israelis, aged 17 and 35, had suffered stab wounds to their torsos and were taken to a hospital where one succumbed to their wounds late on Thursday.
"Two Palestinians entered the Rami Levi (supermarket) area in Shaar Binyamin and stabbed two Israeli civilians," a police statement said.
"The two terrorists were shot and neutralised by an armed civilian at the site," the statement read.
There was no immediate report on the attackers' condition.
The supermarket is located in an industrial zone frequented by Israeli settlers.
Since 1 October, Palestinian knife, gun and car-ramming attacks have taken the lives of 25 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean, according to an AFP count.
At the same time, 172 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, most while carrying out attacks but others during clashes and demonstrations.
