Gaza City - The streets of Gaza were packed with people celebrating the ceasefire on Tuesday.

Although many are concerned that the ceasefire won't address their concerns, Gaza residents still took a moment to celebrate the ceasefire and a return to calm. At 7pm local time mosques began ringing in special prayers. People started pouring onto the streets. Children and women began cheering as men paraded down the streets in their cars, enthusiastically waving flags.

All through the city streets, cheers could be heard close by and in the distance. As night began to fall, people gathered in the middle of intersections playing loud music, drumming on rubbish bins and hoisting friends, colleagues, and children up on their shoulders in celebration. Fireworks went off through the strip as loud speakers and stages were set up for entertainment to arrive ensuring that Gaza has a joyful and long night ahead.
