Morocco's King Mohammed VI is to cover the legal fees of Moroccan pop singer Saad Lamjarred, who has been arrested and charged with the aggravated rape of a 20-year old woman in Paris.

Meanwhile, protests continue across Morocco after the death of fisherman Mouhcine Fikri, who was crushed by a rubbish truck after trying to save fish confiscated by the police, sparked unrest over government corruption and police abuse.
