Turkey has recently moved its forces toward the Iraqi border as the battle to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from the Islamic State group gathers pace.
The Iraqi prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, previously welcomed Turkish help against IS.
However, Abadi has since changed his mind and stated that Turkey, which already has some troops stationed in northern Iraq, should remove its forces from the country and stay out of its affairs.
As tensions between the two countries mount, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has hit back telling Abadi: "You should know your limits."
