BLiNK: Peter Oborne on war & peace

Charles B. Anthony speaks to journalist Peter Oborne about 7/7, Britain’s intention to bomb Syria, Jeremy Corbyn and Iran coming in from the cold
Filmed and directed by William Pine

Ten years after the 7/7 attacks on the UK, the threat from terrorism and extremism seems to be at an all-time high.

But if war only exacerbates the problem, why is it put forward as the answer?

British journalist Peter Oborne, a longtime Westminster insider and former chief political commentator of the Daily Telegraph who resigned in 2015, spoke to MEE's BLiNK about how the targeting of UK Muslims, the airstrikes in Syria, and a possible change in the Labour Party leadership are affecting the debate.

“At the moment Labour doesn’t have a voice in foreign policy. It didn’t under the last government. Can you even name who the shadow foreign secretary was?”
