Aliens exist and Trump knows it, says former head of Israeli space programme
The former head of Israel's space programme has claimed that the US and Israeli governments are in touch with aliens and that a "Galactic Federation" is already in existence.
Haim Eshed, who ran the Israeli space programme for nearly 30 years, has said that humanity "isn't ready" to make contact with the alien civilisation, who he claims had to intervene to prevent US President Donald Trump from "blurting out" their secrets.
The 87-year old made the comments to the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot ahead of the publication of a new book entitled The Universe Beyond the Horizon, which deals with his claims about the existence of extraterrestial intelligence.
"The aliens have asked not to announce that they are here [because] humanity is not ready yet," he told the publication.
"They have been waiting for humanity to evolve and reach a stage where we will generally understand what space and spaceships are.
“There’s an agreement between the US government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here."
He explained that the aliens have a base on Mars: "Trump was on the verge of revealing [the aliens' existence], but the aliens in the Galactic Federation are saying, ‘Wait, let people calm down first.'"
His reference to a "Galactic Federation" echoes the claims made by the Ground Crew Project, a UFO cult established in the US in the 80s which claims to be preparing for humanity's eventual contact with alien intelligence.
The group claimed that an alien Galactic Federation would help humanity transition to a new advanced state of civilisation.
Haim explained that he had waited until now to make his claim because of the disbelief he would face. “If I had come up with what I’m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalised.
“Wherever I’ve gone with this in academia, they’ve said: 'The man has lost his mind'. Today they’re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I’ve received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad, where the trend is also changing.”
His comments were greeted with ridicule on social media.
A new Twitter account calling itself "Galactic Federation Official" said that since their "existence has been revealed" they would begin accepting human members of the organisation on a case-by-case basis:
However, a number of users appeared to take his comments seriously.
Brian Roemmele, editor of conspiracy theory website Multiplex magazine, tweeted that in "100 years this subject will be what defined 2020".
