Yasmeen Altaji is an intern at Middle East Eye and a multimedia reporter with a focus on the politics, policy, art and culture of the Middle East and its communities. She is a student at Northwestern University pursuing degrees in journalism and music. In 2021, she founded The Word, an online news platform and weekly podcast centering global Assyrian news.
