Kate Shuttleworth
Kate Shuttleworth is a New Zealand-born journalist and photographer currently based in Jerusalem. Kate is a skilled newspaper reporter, who has written, reported and produced for broadcast media in New Zealand and internationally. Her career began in television working for a production company producing special interest documentaries. She then worked as a researcher and producer for New Zealand’s leading news and current affairs programme Campbell Live, TV3.
Her international experience includes working for CNN IBN on a groundbreaking show called Citizen Journalist. Kate returned to New Zealand to work as a newspaper reporter in the remote Northland region covering general news for the Northern Advocate, Northland Age and the Herald on Sunday.
Kate went on to a high-profile role as a political reporter in the New Zealand press gallery at Parliament for APNZ and the New Zealand Herald, covering leading political news. She has covered political, foreign affairs, defence, education, business, environment, crime, police, local government, diversity and culture and travel news. Kate graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in English literature and a postgraduate degree in journalism.
