Ship sustains damage after crossing Red Sea: UKMTO

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a vessel sustained minor damage while crossing the Red Sea.

In a post on X, the UKMTO, which provides real-time information to sailors in the Middle East, said it received a report of an incident 119km northwest of Mocha, Yemen.

Since October, Yemen’s Houthis have attacked commercial ships in protest against Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.

Most Houthi attacks have centred around the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, southwest of the Arabian Peninsula.
