In Pictures: Protest in Ramallah against Gaza attacks

Protests are taking place in Ramallah in solidarity with the people in Gaza who have been subjected to several days of Israeli air-strikes
Palestinians believe a major Israeli ground invasion of Gaza may take place in the coming hours.
As the death toll in Gaza continues to grow, Palestinians are staging ongoing demonstrations across the West Bank in protest against the Israeli air strikes.

Protests are also taking place amongst Palestinian communities in Jerusalem.

Only hours after an explosion reverberated across Ramallah when a rocket landed on open land in the Beitonia area of the city, protesters again took to the city's streets on Thursday night. The rocket from Gaza is believed to have been targeting the Ofer Israeli military base alongside Beitonia.

Palestinian Authority security services have been highly visible at all protests in the city centre although are not attempting to prevent them. Israeli-PA security coordination has however ensured that PA forces have worked to prevent protesters reaching the nearby Beit El settlement on recent nights, which is causing clear anger on the streets. With many Palestinians, particularly in Ramallah, feeling helpless amidst security coordination control, demonstrations are not huge but are vocal in their calls for solidarity with Gaza and with all Palestinians, and support for resistance against Israeli attacks.
