Armed villagers in southern Turkey have set up checkpoints to prevent any suspected arsonists from entering rural areas where wildfires continue to spread after more than a week.
Turkey’s government has come under criticism for failing to bring the fires under control which have so far killed at least six people and forced thousands to evacuate.
