Video: Gaza celebrates the announcement of open-ended ceasefire

Though many have died in Gaza, many residents of the strip view the ceasefire as a victory

As news came of an open-ended ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, many Palestinian residents of the strip take to the streets in jubilation.

It is believed that 2,145 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have died since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge on 7 July. Seventy Israelis, of whom 66 have been soldiers, have also been killed.
