James R King has published extensively on Yemen, including original research through a grant with the American Institute for Yemeni Studies. He is a former Fulbright fellow in Jordan and holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from Columbia University. King directs the Scholar Rescue Fund (SRF), a programme that assists professors who face threats to their lives and careers.
