Sebastian Shehadi is the global markets reporter for fDi Magazine, a specialist publication from the Financial Times. He covers news and feature stories from every corner of the world and in all sectors as they relate to FDI.
A former student of international relations, Shehadi regularly interviews global leaders in the public and private sector and has a particular interest in emerging markets as well as geopolitics and the relationship between foreign investment, politics and security. He has also appeared in fDi Intelligence videos and podcasts, and his work has been published in the Financial Times for EM Squared, a premium analysis service on emerging markets. Prior to joining fDi, Mr. Shehadi was a political risk analyst at Citibank, London. He previously interned at the Financial Times, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, and World Watch Monitor. Shehadi grew up in London and Beirut, Lebanon, where he learned French and Arabic. He earned his MSc at the London School of Economics, reading History of International Relations and researching how music-video propaganda is being used in the Syrian war.
