Denmark authorities are to permanently revoke the residency and deport a Syrian refugee wanted by the Assad regime.
Muhammad Maher has resided in Denmark for seven years after arriving in the country in 2015. In July 2022, the Danish government informed Maher that his residency permit would be permanently revoked, after declaring Damascus and territories under Assad control are "safe" to return to.
