Palestinians celebrate the end of Israeli offensive in Jenin

Hundreds of Palestinians celebrated as the Israeli army announced the end of its two-day military campaign on the Jenin refugee camp. Israel withdrew its troops 48 hours after the assault began on 3 July, leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Up to 4,000 residents made their way back into Jenin, with many flashing V-for-victory signs with their hands and chanting slogans of victory.
