Schools urge charities and local government authorities to help move refugees out of school buildings and into refugee camps so schools can re-open

Schools across the Dohuk region of Northern Iraqi Kurdistan are coming to the end of term and thousands of children are yet unable to attend class due to the high influx of refugees in the region.
Instead of children hurrying to classes this term, schools have been housing refugees who have nowhere to go after fleeing Islamic State militants. With ever-growing pressure from the government and parents, schools are scrambling to relocate these refugees in local camps. But while the relocation offers relief to parents and normality to students, refugees fear the worst, with refugee camps ill-prepared for the cold, wet winter that has already begun.
