The first week of the 2014 'Qalandia International' contemporary arts festival drew to a close on October 28th. 23 public events have already been held since the official opening was staged outside al-Bireh Municipality's cultural centre.
The festival will run until mid-November in cities, villages and refugee camps across many areas of 'historic Palestine'. A wide variety of both Palestinian and international artists are presenting work that is based around the theme of this year's festival - 'Archives, Lived and Shared'.
